Oil paints come in all sizes. At our classes we tend to use 38ml size tubes for all colours and 225ml white tubes as white is used more often than any other colour

These are the brands of economy brushes popular with beginners.
Hog Haired on the left, Sable hair in the middle and the little blue brushes, flat and Round on the right.
As painters become more experienced, there are more specialized brushes available.

I recommend that all paintings are varnished for appearance and protection.

There are three types. Matt, Satin and Gloss. My recommendation would be Satin (see below)

You should wait three months after completion before using this spray.

Please DO NOT purchase this product as in my opinion it’s NOT suitable for cleaning your brushes. I find that it doesn’t dissolve the paint properly.
