This year’s day trips to the National Gallery, Dublin
September 29, 2019
On Thursday morning December 5th ( for Grange and Sligo town painters) and Tuesday morning December 10th ( for Ballymote, Tubbercurry and Tullaghan painters) we will be heading to Dublin for our annual visits to the National Art Gallery in Dublin.
On Thursday December 5th we will leave Grange at 9.30am, collecting our remaining passengers at their arranged stops along the way. We stop for coffee and fresh scones on the way at Ferrick’s restaurant at Rathowen.
On Tuesday December 10th, we will leave Tullaghan Community Centre at 9.10am, collecting the rest of our passengers at their arranged stops along the way at Grange, Ballymote, Tubbercurry and Carraic on Shannon. We stop for coffee and fresh scones on the way at Ferrick’s restaurant at Rathowen.
We will arrive at the gallery at 1.50pm just in time for the group tours at 2pm.
Each group of 15 visitors must be accompanied by one group leader. We will decide on the groups/leaders on the coach on the way.
The visit is to the permanent collection only.
Planning Our Visit
We will arrive at the Clare Street entrance at approx 1.50pm. When we arrive we report to the Information Desk.
If our groups are late, we will not be allocated extra time as other groups may have booked in directly after us so it’s important that we leave at the exact times and to make sure we arrive on time.
Our ‘highlights tour’ starts at 2pm and will finish at 3pm. There is a souvenir shop and a coffee shop at the gallery if you’d like to visit.
We will be leaving the Gallery to meet up with our coach on Merrion Square at around 4.45pm.
On the way home we will stop again at Ferrick’s for our dinner at 7pm approx.
We will leave Feerick’s at around 8.15pm dropping passengers off at their designated stops on our way home.
